Rough estimate for no climb fencing?

I have been trying to no avail to get rough estimates per foot on high quality no climb fencing. No one will give me just a general, per foot estimate over the phone. They all want to meet me at the farm and I am not able to be there for the next month and don’t want my supervisor to meet them for a variety of reasons. Anyone know where I can get just a really ballpark figure, possibly off the web somewhere? I just need something to put in my business plan, we aren’t quite ready for the actual fencing yet, which is another reason I’m not keen on meeting someone quite yet. Thank you!

I paid about $9/ linear foot for locust posts hydraulically pounded, 5’ non-climb fence plus an oak top rail. This was almost 10 years ago so maybe more now…and definitely dependent on location to some degree. I am in NY.

Very helpful. I had $10/linear foot in my original sketch of a business idea but wanted to hone in on this more precise draft. We are in the southeast. Thank you very much.

I just had a bunch of fencing put in … I got 4 board @ $9/ ft, but was told that no climb (with a top board) would be the same price.

I’m in North GA and got a quote of $12/foot at the end of last year. I think that was two different companies. I know I talked with a third but don’t think I got a quote. Also quoted about $10 foot for 3 board.

Here in Aiken, SC I think you’d pay $6/ft. That might not include painting. (You have to let fencing season a bit and you need different equipment for the paining job, hence a couple of reasons for separating out those two tasks.) And I have gotten quotes for painting of $0.90 to $1.10/ft.

I think I paid about $8 per linear foot. I just did a small section, for my goats and dogs, but it boarders one of the pastures so that is why I went with no-climb. The rest of my fencing is electric tape with a top board, which was way less expensive.

Contractors really do need to see a place to give an estimate. They need to know how many corner posts, which sections need to be braced, where you want gates, any existing fencing removed, etc.

I was quoted last year $7/linear foot for 4’ no-climb, no top board.

I understand that to provide a true “quote” the fencer would need to see the place, but it really isn’t hard to give someone a general ball park to plan on budgeting. When you have multiple projects with the same type of fencing, give a range around the average.
