Royal Sports bridles

Has anyone ordered directly from Royal Sports and not one of the companies marking up their tack?

Review? Customer service? Pictures? Bridle level you ordered?

Actually nice bridles - horrible service. Takes like a million years to ship.

I had a really horrific transaction with them a couple years ago. It took forever, I had to contact them over and over to get any response, and the bridle I got is a) not what I ordered b) gross. It’s my junker/trail riding bridle. Even though I paid for the best leather you can get, everything is flaking and cracking. I know someone else who bought a girth (which actually was beautiful) and turns out it wasn’t stitched all the way through the elastic. Luckily she noticed it right away and was able to get it properly stitched before she used it. I just don’t trust the quality or workmanship.

I’d personally rather pay a little more and get proven, better known brands of tack, or buy something second hand. In the end you always get what you pay for, for better or worse.

I read your review from that transaction and OMG what a nightmare

I politely disagree. Then again, maybe I am the odd one out xD

I had an absolutely fabulous experience with them. Sure, it’s not antares or CWD, and the leather takes FOOOOOREVER to relax… BUT my bridle looks so, so good on my horse, and the service was excellent. It came 3 days after I ordered. It’s certainly not show quality, but for schooling I absolutely adore mine.

I’d order again from them in a heartbeat. their styles are so beautiful and cheaper versions of their more prestigious cousins.

I did. Shipped the day after ordered, arrived in Canada 6 business days later. Sent many an email prior to purchase and all responses were prompt (less than 24 hours).

Leather is nice enough for what it is ~$80 bridle. Well stitched. Has been in use 3-6 times a week for 7 months and no obvious wear-and-tear on it.

I hot oiled immediately. Twice. Broke the seal just fine and is nice and supple. Drank A LOT of oil in the first week or two- every time I used it I rubbed some more in.

They do have a new website bridlesandreins.com which is direct. I was told this when I inquired through the royalsports88 website and when I emailed through the bridlesandreins website it was indeed the same staff that responded to emails. I find the new website much easier to navigate.

I didn’t order direct but got one off of Amazon.ca. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality it was for the price. It looks lovely on, and is reasonably soft for the price point.

*** One thing to be aware of is the bridles fit fairly small or the one I ordered did. I ordered a cob size for my guy because all my horse size bridles were laughably large on the smallest hole and the cob fits but just barely.***
