My young mare has that SUPER fine TB coat. Flies absolutely love her because they can land and bite, no effort needed. She has never had a particularly “durable” coat - she’s on copper and zinc, it’s dappled and shiny… it just is short and wimpy/not strong.
The rubs are in a strange location - it’s on the points of her hips. They’re about the size of a pencil eraser, and one is threatening to break skin. She is in a Horsewear Rambo right now.
Do I buy a second one so they can be rotated out so the fit isn’t the same-same all the time? Do I take it home and stitch some silky material across her bum? Any sprays that would make her/the sheet more slippery?
Anyone else deal with this? Thanks in advance for any tips!
