Rundown boots for dogs?

I now have a 26 pound rat terrier cross who is addicted to chasing balls. In the 4 months I’ve had him, he has broken claws a
Twice and sprained/ broke his dew claws twice. By tearing after the ball and doing cow pony stops with all 4 legs.

Does anyone make splint boots or rundown boots for doggoes?

I have not heard of them. They do make a lot of different support boots, some of which may restrict ankle flexion too much. I would definitely trim his nails short, short, like dog show length. Trim a little bit every 4 days. He looks like he has huge dews that do not lay close to the body, so that may not be enough. Maybe try wrapping with vet wrap before he plays??

Maybe look at flyball equipment vendors?
(I’m not a flyball person, so I don’t have any personal experience or knowledge of who the good ones are, unfortunately.)

But perhaps something like these?

Yep BD,something like that, hopefully short enough to not interfere with his hocks. I’ll look around.
