Sacramento Barns?

I’ll be relocating to Sacramento next month and need some barn suggestions!

Here’s my wishlist:

-H/J or Eventing Barn
-Decent Turnout
-Provides Services like Blanketing & Grain
-Covered Arena w/ Lights
-Part Training Option (3-4 days/week)
-Fun Group of No-Drama Adult Amateurs
-Within 30 minutes of Downtown Sac (up to 45 min w/ rush hour traffic would be fine)
-Relatively Flat Property (horse doesn’t do well w/ hills)
-Under $1200 for board & training

My horse is 24 and we don’t compete anymore, but I’d love to find a place with a sensible trainer who knows how to manage older horses. I’m mostly interested in training rides for him so he gets out during the week when I’m busy at work, but would love it if there were some lesson horses I could jump some bigger stuff on every once in a while.

Thanks in advance!

Look into Alicia Swinton Eventing. She is within 30 min of downtown Sac (closer without traffic). I work downtown Sac and live in Natomas (from home I get there in under 20 min). She does H/J and Eventing. Couple of places for turnout. Great indoor arena with sprinklers and lights. Hot water wash rack. I believe she has a part time training option, plus turnout option. My horse is currently in full time training and in the main barn (5 rides or lessons a week). I pay under what you are looking to spend and my horse also gets lunch (I believe an extra $30). Great group of riders. Great farrier. Not aware of any drama. Flat property? The main areas are level, but there are some small hills and some of the larger paddocks are sloped. If you board in the main barn, everything is pretty much flat. Private tack locker. Lounge with fridge and a/c. Bathroom and shower. Trailer parking is either $25 or $35 a month. Alicia also has a nice 4 horse trailer if you need to be picked up or want to go on a trail ride with her group. She is on FB and also has a webpage. Her cell is 707-758-3056. She works 6 days a week. Usually Tuesday is her day off, but she lives on the property. Barn is near American River College off the 80 corridor.

Edit to add: She has several lesson horses so you can jump! And,she has several older horses on the property, including a couple of her own.
