Sad to report that AZTD has died

Theresa L Hunt, whom many dressage competitors in the western states knew from shows as an active licensed Technical Delegate & who posted here as “AZTD,” died this morning after a nearly two-year battle with cancer.

Theresa was a fun & funny barnmate who enjoyed good ground coffee, her wine, her horses, & lively dressage & political discussion. She loved showing off her pretty little KWPN mare, Carmen, & was thrilled to compete at USDF Finals in KY in 2015 (2nd Level) and to have been reserve champ in 2018 at Region 5 Regionals (3rd Level). She had one brother and two nieces but considered the dressage world to be her family, especially after she retired from a remarkable career in the USAF.

She would have wanted the people here who knew her as well as those she’d interacted with only via forum posts to know why she’s been inactive. We will miss her.

Theresa TD’d several of our shows in New Mexico and El Paso back in the day. She was delightful to be around and so kind and approachable in her role. She will be sadly missed.
