Saddle Cushion Recommendations: fleece vs. other?

Hi -

Hoping to get some insight into what kind of saddle cushion to buy. The fleece ones look great, but I was wondering if anyone has tried a bunch and can enlighten me on the pros and cons of various types.

For fleece pad owners: do the pads become compressed over time, losing their softening effect? How long does that take?

I have a problem with my sacrum and currently have trouble staying in the saddle for more than an hour.

I’ve used both sheepskin ans gel seat savers. As far cushioning effect, the gel works much better than the sheepskin, which, yes, does compress over time. You can never really get it back to where it was, either…

However, I think memory foam would probably work better than either for your particular issue. Heather Moffett makes one, found here:
