Saddle damage, is this something reparable?

Had it less than an hour.
The offending canine has not been punted into the next county yet.

No advice, but much sympathy.

Is dog’s name Lucky?
That is an easy repair, as is plain laced rawhide, doesn’t need to match tooling, etc.

Any saddle shop can fix that.
Dog probably was thinking is a rawhide chew, nice!
He could have chewed something less reparable …

Totally fixable.

I’d go with Living On A Prayer if it happened to my saddle.

Ohhh boy. My sympathies. This is one of those times where I would tell the dog “don’t let me see you for the next few hours, eh?”

I’m glad it’s not catastrophic, I had a cheaper saddle sitting in the exact same location for a month undisturbed. Grateful I live in a field as my response quite loud. I haven’t even had a chance to sit in it on the horse.

She spent a few hours in the crate out of my sight. Most of my ire is gone now but I’ll be putting her in the crate when I leave for at least the near future. This was kind of out of the blue behavior.
