Would love a recommendation for someone NOT a brand rep - looking for a reasonable saddle for a new horse owner family - they are in a program, but trainer is sponsored by Voltaire, which is total overkill for now. Think 2’ xrails and an elementary school kid…they want to make sure their nice older mare stays comfortable!

Do they want someone to come to them initially? Or to buy a suitable used saddle and then maybe have it checked?
Either way, although they could use help figuring out what to buy - this is their first horse (they are in a program, of course, but…)
Might be worth checking the General Store to see if they have anything used. It’s close. Local tack stores may have posts with used saddles for sale. I don’t think any sell new saddles.
I’ve used Trevor Capewell at the Broken Horn for re-stuffing saddles. Would recommend him for evaluation, which he does independently. Broken Horn also has used saddles for sale, in addition to new. The store itself is for sale so I have no idea how that might impact what they have. It is some distance from PV though. I have Trevor’s direct contact info.
Calabasas Saddlery should have new and used saddles and has a knowledgeable staff, but it’s even further than Broken Horn.
Normally I advise people to shop at the shows, but the Oaks is the next set of shows and they’re very strict about spectators.
