Any recommendations on saddle fitters in/near Aiken or Columbus? I’m looking to purchase a dressage saddle, but have no idea how the fit works since I am coming from the Jumper/Eventer world. I like a few saddles from fine-used-saddles.com - would a fitter be able to help me determine which ones would work for me? Or would I need to take them out on trial one at a time and have the fitter come look at each one? Seems like it could get expensive. I’ve had people recommend saddles fitters, but they only will help if I’m buying a saddle from their brand. I’d much rather purchase a nice used saddle, if that’s even possible. This whole saddle thing is stressing me out - any help/counseling is appreciated,
I would go to the spring poplar place rated event and there is typically at least one saddle fitter there who is unaffiliated with any one brand. And then typically two or three who only represent one brand. I wish I could remember the one woman’s name but it escapes me. She’s is typically at the fall 3* but as the spring is so close to Rolex I’m not sure. I’m sure Stacy Duncan, who works at poplar could tell you her name.
