Hi,
I have a lovely new horse and a Butet that I bought with the horse. I’ve been finding the butet isn’t a good long-term fit for me (feeling “stuck” when posting and suspect it’s forward flap, which I don’t need), but I’m questioning whether my Tad Coffin is fitting the horse well enough. I’ve never delved into utilizing saddle fitting, but would love some input as to my horses’s shape. To be honest, I suspect there are a fair number of saddle fitters without much true insight (not maligning the profession or endeavor - I think this is true of practitioners of many kinds!). If anyone know of a good/reputable saddle fitter in the area (NJ-broadly in the Gladstone area near the old USET), please feel free to PM me or suggest here. Thank you!
I am SE PA. I love Tara Miliziano/Forward Motion Equine. She has a broad territory. She is an independent saddle fitter not a rep.
She is a massage therapist for both horses and people. IMO I think her understanding of anatomy helps with saddle fitting.
If she can’t come to you she will probably be able to recommend someone good
She is on FB. If you can’t find me PM me and I can get you her phone number.
