Saddle pad for high withers.

Can anyone recommend a good saddle pad cut to fit high withers that would fit under this saddle?

Currently using a HAF pad, but my mare has developed bumps along the withers and since I know the saddle itself is not putting pressure there, it could be the pad.

I have a Toklat Woolback with a high profile to fit my Barefoot Tahoe. They will custom make what size you need. I really like mine.

ETA - I tried the Equipedic and the Saddle Right too. I don’t know if either of them are the same profile as your saddle though.

I second the Toklat Woolback with the contoured front. Best pads I’ve ever had!

I am not into that type saddle, but wow is it very very very lovely looking. Looks sooooo comfy too.

Any pad you get pull it well up into the channel of the saddle.

I third a woolback. Pull it up into the channel as well.

Lots of times I use a thin cotton pad, and then the woolback on top. That way it keeps the wool back a little bit cleaner, and a little less wet. At the vet checks I like to put a clean fresh dry cotton pad on again. It just depends on the ride. Most of the time I use the woolback and not thin cotton pad. Just depends.

Any pad I get must be very very washable. Woolback is perfect for such wash and wear. I have had cotton pads wear out before the woolback.

I have the double elastic woolback girth too. Once again, very washable. Fluff with a wire dog brush when dry and wash. Or toss in dirty, either way comes out in perfect condition and clean.

What a nice saddle! Have you gone through the manufacture’s recommendations? They may be able to custom cut one for you too.

Thanks for the recommendations. I should hasten to add that this picture is from the manufacturer’s website. My saddle doesn’t look nearly so pristine! But it is a great saddle.
