Saddle repair

I have an Antares that needs some re-enforcements done on both flaps (just the exterior) and minor re-stitching on the knee rolls. I have used someone local on a previous saddle and was pleased with the results but I felt he was pushing me to purchase brand new flaps from Antares ($$$$$) instead of doing the reinforcements like I asked. We finally settled on the work and it has held up beautifully but I am considering going elsewhere for this other saddle. Any suggestions? I don’t mind shipping and I am not on a huge time crunch as I have other saddles. Just would like this be affordable and look decent.

Any suggestions and/or photos of what you have had done would be great!

I am currently having Beval add D rings to my saddle. I am close enough to drive. You could ship to them.

Where are you located? People may have suggestions on places that are close to you. There may be a good saddle fitter that does reflocking close to you that can do the repairs or a custom saddler.

I had work done on my Equipe by Connie Hildreth in Montana. I shipped it to her, and she shipped back to me. I’m very happy with the work, and the price was very reasonable.

I was very happy with work done on my Devoucoux (added knee and thigh blocks) by Michael Dainton of Barrington Saddlery. I shopped it around a LOT. His price was fair and he was one of the few I talked to, who actually spoke with confidence about knowing exactly what he was doing.

Fran Smith out of Kentucky. Pm me for her contact info. She is a master saddler and just did a complete custom reflock of my saddle. She is wonderful and does very nice work.
