Saddle Sleuths - Butet

Hi everyone,

I am now eyeing a 2019 Butet, 17", very good condition.

Could anyone decipher the codes on the flap?

From what I can make out it says:

225 P 17 25
B 0
19 1.50

Don’t see anything that would determine tree width though…

Thanks a lot!

I know…
P is the seat (flat)
17 is the seat size
19 is the year made
B short flap (I think?)
.5 forward flap?

I have a Butet premium (I LOVE it, bought in 2017 and looking for another one to add), and I think this is the source I used to decode mine back then…someone may have better intel.

Amazing, thanks!

I wasn’t familiar with that site, great resource for deciphering the stamps.

I can say for certain that the 2.25 denotes the flap length (2) and level of forwardness (.25). 2 is standard length, .25 is slightly forward.

I couldn’t tell you about the tree or panels - my 2005 model is stamped “S” for standard tree but mine is also stamped 2 1/4 instead of 2.25 for the flaps, so they’ve definitely changed up how they stamp their saddles between 2005 and 2019.
