Saddles for mutton wither, wide, curvy backed ponies?

I have a student who has outgrown her saddle and we’re beginning to look for a new one. Has anyone had success with any brands/models in particular for those no-wither-having, wide shouldered, curvy ponies?

You likely need a hoop tree. There’s about 1000 threads on here about brands for them.
Duett is usually the easiest brand to find.

Hoop trees can be great for wide horses, but they’re not right for every wide horse. They’re typically flatter in the rails and can bridge with curvy backed horses. For example, my mare is W/XW. She has a slight wither but large shoulders, is croup high so has quite a bit of curve to her back, and is very short backed. The hoop trees we tried all bridged and made the pressure on her lower back much worse than traditional trees. We ended up with a Black Country dressage saddle and an Amerigo Vega jump saddle.

Black Country Native tree and Harry Dabbs IB tree are both options that can be put in a variety of saddle models and check all your boxes.

Yes… County Innovation In a wide tree is the only saddle that fits my wide /no wither / big shouldered mare.

I just ordered a custom wide hoop tree Loxely monoflap jump saddle for my pony (cheaper line of Bliss saddles). We were lucky enough to try a demo very close to the specs she needed. Amazingly comfortable for both of us and it didn’t slide forward or side to side. I was shocked!

She hates adjustable tree saddles so any of those brands are out. Black Country and Duett also make hoop trees.

Prestige or newer Stubbens if they are wide but curvy. I own this pony in a horse size :).

Do you mean curvy side to side or back to front?

We rode all the Connemaras in tad coffins when I worked for a Connemara breeder. It was the only thing that worked.
