You know what barn I’ll recommend! (If you don’t know who this is, check my blog)

Sent you a PM. (:

Ok so if everyone PM’s how are we gonna find a good barn?! I’m south-west of CBus but am looking also, so soon2bdvm let me know what you find out! Thanks

Well, I’ll say it out loud - I highly recommend Hunters Creek in New Albany.

It says H/J but we’ve been eventing too - A surplus of eventers are here now.

The barn I board at is a private facility so I don’t want to give out their contact information to the world, but feel free to PM me if you want to know. It’s also in New Albany.

Thanks nrg, and I respect you for being considerate of your barn’s privacy. I think New Albany is a bit too much of a hike for me sadly, as I see most of the best barns are there! Oh well, maybe I can find something closer to Dayton/Yellow Springs/ Springfield .

Bummer! More eventing buddies would be fun. Good luck with your search!

I’ll make the same excuse as nrg: those of us at great barns are protective of our BO’s.

Also, I love my barn in Pataskala, but not everyone is looking for 10+ hours of daily turnout on grass, a dressage/foxhunting trainer instead of an “eventing” trainer, really gorgeous outdoor riding areas but a smallish indoor arena, etc. If I think someone’s a good match, I PM them. Otherwise I keep quiet.

Dvm2be (I know who you are :). The barn I was at in vet school was a hunter/jumper barn with a hunter/jumper trainer. This was before I turned to the dark side. Typical H/J barn rules- not much turnout, jumping only in lessons. I think she coaches the OSU equestrian team now. Biggest plus though- 5 min drive from the vet school- which was great once we started our rotations and had zero free time. I used to half lease my horse to save money. Let me know if you want more info.

I realize this post is about 5 years old lol. but I’m hoping (fingers crossed) that you might get this message. I am looking for a place to keep my 9 YO TB gelding and was wondering if you could PM me some more details. Thank you!
