Sale Barns in NJ, Pa., Maryland, Virginia

I know there are thousands of these posts but my search isn’t resulting in anything productive.

I need to send a nice almost made up hunter with good show record to a sales barn as I live in an area with very little sales traffic. Barn has to have connections to BNT’s that show A and AA, demonstrated reputation for sales volume and quality, and most important, be trustworthy with good care.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is there any answer other than Emil Spadone?!

Vince Dugan used to be the go to barn in my area. Not sure if he still is.

You are covering a broad area! Chad Keenam is in VA and is one of many options. In MD you have Rolling Acres and the like who are great options. Do they need to be in the Mid Atlantic or would you send to anywhere?

I’d consider sending anywhere but would prefer relatively close, which I define by 5 to 7 hours from my farm, centrally located geography (so easier for buyers), and a strong hunter market within the geography.

Emil Spadone/ Redfield farm hands down

Emil, absolutely.

cost?

whats the normal cost to send your horse to one of the premier show barns to be sold? Usual training board? Do you usually give it a time period? Does it come out of commission?

Four Seasons Horse Sales in NJ is also excellent.
