Oh My goodness. I got some great stuff…Merry belated Christmas to me…Merry belated Christmas to me… Now all I need is the OP’s address. Yeah, my hubby wants it. I told him how much I spent and all I could make out from the rambling that ensued was something about you being an enabler, praying on the weak, dangling choice morsels in front of us causing us to blow our horsey budgets wide open…Blah,Blah,Blah. You know what I mean. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of Hubby. To the OP, whom I believe is luise, please know that tonight I will be raising my wine glass to you for sharing you secret. Thanks
Thanks SO MUCH to the kind person who posted this sale! I just got:
2 Baker blankets
1 pr stirrup irons
Several of the new Breyer horses I’ve been wanting (Windtalker, Keltec Salinero, Cefnoakpark Bouncer) and Gallant Fox ornament
All for $269ppd!!! I have been wanting to update a couple of my horses winter bankies to Bakers, so I just did that & basically got the model horses for free. Yippee!!!
Retail therapy…GOOD!!!
It’s not what you spend…
It’s what you save!!

Unsuspecting husbands have been cut down to size by this Salem Saddlery sale. But if you buy it now on sale, you won’t have to buy it later!
And the husbands secretly like getting stuff for the horses!
I just bought new Ariat paddock boots for less than $70 with shipping! I really needed a new pair for my new job since the old ones have holes from being well-loved. What a great deal!
Wah! I’m trying to save for a new saddle so no toys for me even if they are on sale. However, there’s a nice pair of Ariat paddock boots with the sale are $57…
Oh you evil people…
Very bad influence. The Danskos for 1/2 price were just too much for me.
You know you’re not supposed to post these links on paydays!
On the way to my house is:
Baker Sheet
Fleeceworks Pad
Eskadron Flexisoft Open Fronts
Hadfields Bridle (HUGE SAVINGS!) & matching reins
I am desperate for an answer to my question and despite trying every single option in their phone maze, I can’t get to a human at Salem Saddlery…
They have a KK Ultra bit listed as a “Sprenger KK-Conrad-Ultra Pony Loose Ring Bit” What the heck makes this a pony bit and is it in fact any different from a 5.5" 18mm kk ultra I might buy at Dover for approximately double the price?
Does anyone have any clue? I would really appreciate an answer, but no one is answering their phone and no one has called me back about the message I left this AM. Please?
I had to go back for breeches… and boot socks… and a fleeceworks seat saver… Terrible!
Super fast shipping - they already shipped out the helmets I ordered yesterday.

The bit page says this:
The smaller proportions and different body structure of a pony sometimes requires different bits and tack made specifically for them as opposed to a horse. Ponies need bits with thinner mouthpieces, shorter distances and smaller cheek pieces. Choose a bit for your pony that will fit his mouth and head and help him to perform like a star.

Yes, but the Sprenger site has nothing about a “pony” version of the kk ultra and the description of the bit itself on the Salem site doesn’t say how it’s different from the usual KK ultra bit. They carry them up to the 6" size and in my book that’s a pretty big pony. I’m thinking it’s a typo and it’s just a standard kk ultra and it’s a really good deal. I would just like someone to answer their darn phone and confirm that!
Told my mom about the sale…she likes sales! I might be getting even more than I already ordered!!!
I don’t know why but I’ve been on a helmet buying spree lately…I got a new one (navy hunt cap) for christmas…2 on ebay (both hunt caps) and now the GPA…WHAT was a thinking! (by the way though, the GPA is only one of 2 helmets I own that is approved, so it’s a good thing I got it!!)
I have ordered from Salem Saddlery in the past with no problems and this is a terrific sale. But I’ve hit a little snag. I ordered 3 items. I just got an email that my order had shipped. But only 2 items are listed, even when I log back into the website and check the order. I do have the original confirmatory email that lists all 3 items from my order. It’s like my shoes just vaporized! No notice of backorder or anything. I would simply call to clarify, but no one is answering the phone, and the voice mail boxes are all full. Hopefully it will be straightened out!
The same thing happened to me. Of the three items I ordered, only one was shipped (the coat). I have no idea what happened with the saddle pad and the XC watch, but I’m assuming they were sold out. I was going to wait till the end of the day and see if for some reason they shipped separately, but if not, I will e-mail and see what happened. It would be nice if tack shops would TELL you something’s on backorder or is out of stock. I’ve had a couple of tack shops just ship what they had and not say a word about the rest of the order. Grrr. (Equus Now was the only shop whose staff called when something was sold out to ask me what I wanted to do – thumbs up to them!)
Shoot, they’re out of both sets of paddock boots I tried to order.
I ordered a helmet and clipper blades - about an hour after I ordered I received and e-mail w/ my order conformation on it saying that all the items I had ordered were out of stock.
we just love this store - the owners, Pam and Joel, are great! just purchased hadfields figure eight bridle, raised reins, running martingale - stirrups leathers, fleecework pad, breyer horses, picture frames…highly recommend a stop in the shop!!
Ohhhhh, almost wish I hadn’t opened this thread - I just got an order confirmation email for my brand-new HW Rambo turnout I’ve had my eye on - for $150. It will be a sad, sad day if I find out it’s not coming… keeping fingers crossed.
Darn you! I just spent $300, and that was AFTER I took a few things out of my cart that I didn’t REALLY need. But, I saved about $250.
I have been toying with the idea of getting a new helet, and bought a CO. I have never even tried one on before, I hope it fits. If not, I can probably e-bay it for more than I paid!
