Yay! Got breeches, show gloves, and a belt I’ve been eyeing for awhile now for $10 less than the original price of the breeches. I loves me a bargain. Hopefully they’ll all actually arrive!

Damn you all for pointing me to this sale! But please, everyone double-check the sale price against other stores before buying. The GPA’s are undoubtedly a deal since they rarely go on sale anywhere, but this tack store seems to have unusually high retail prices–not a criticism, just an observation. For many of the products that I priced out, the product was still cheaper elsewhere even after the discount. But I was delighted with the deals that I found below!
My purchase total was $115 for:
$55 Dansko pro clogs size brown (these are actually for my day job)
$16 Repel-X concentrate, 32 oz (makes 2 gals of fly spray at maximum concentration and about 3.5 gals at “everyday” concentration!)

I asked in my order if I could pick it up from the store on Sunday and am still waiting to hear back. I guess I will call tomorrow to see.
I am still looking at the site to see if there is anything else I could use! My trainer said that rumor is that they may be closing or being sold to Beval’s. who knows!? We’ll see. The website says it’s just a renovation sale.
yes - my mom bought our horse an adorable figure 8 bridle, rubber reins, and running martingale - its going to be adorable. i wish my camera was working so i could get some pictures! :no:

its going to be a bevals, for sure. it was either gonna be that, or a dover.
How sad it’s changing hands. It’s been Salem Saddlery forever even when it was in the little mill building just down the road. I’ll have to call my friend who works there and find out the scoop.
I didn’t go crazy buying anything because they only had cob size for the running martingal and I didn’t see any stirrup leathers I liked. I did get a hole punch, rubber boot covers, and leather spurs strapes. My only gripe is that the shipping was $13 which seems a little high to me… :sigh:

As much as I love Beval, part of me would prefer it stays Salem Saddlery. They have some brands that Beval doesn’t carry. Beval is a little limited in their tack and strap goods since they mostly carry their own brand. I’ve been wondering if something were up for a while, because they used to have a great book selection, and it has slowly been dwindling. Some things are a little more $-like the CO Hampton helmet is $20 more than I paid for it, but with the sale it would have been a bargain. Too bad they didn’t have my size! (I already have one, but I figured a back-up would be nice!)

Over the past two weeks, I went to the Beval sale and to the sale at the Equestrian Centre in Avon, CT.
Hmmmm…I do need some draw reins and some new Heidi boots. The Heidi boots I have are looking scruffy.
I will have to think about this. 
Before that, I spent $84.95 on a pair of Irideon winter breeches and they don’t even fit and I can’t return them because I only had 30 days to return them. :mad:
Curse you people, ok well not really. But I think I have you all beat. I placed an order for the Amerigo Vega Now hopefully I won’t get a call saying it was already sold
Yah if you need a new saddle in the brands they have you are getting a deal. I put the vega in my order just to see what kind of deal they were giving… To bad I just got a new saddle before xmas.
Thanks for alerting us to this sale! I’ve been meaning to buy new paddock boots but kept putting it off. I wanted the Ariat Cobalts, and most of the stores which were clearing out the older models have sold out in my size. It’s my fault because I put off ordering. So, here’s what I bought.

alright here’s a question…I placed my order on Thursday and got a shipping notice on Friday, which did not show all the items I ordered. I ordered a GR8, saddle pad, spur straps and tredstep half chaps. So the shipping notice is only for the spur straps and GR8…what happened to the rest of my stuff? I check last night and the half chaps were still listed as available so I find it hard to believe they sold out…but for those of you that ordered, how did you find out something was sold out? I sent them an email just now but really want to order anotehr pair of half chaps if the ones I wanted are sold out so I hope I find out soon!!

I’m pretty sure it means they were sold out. I placed two orders. One excluded a couple of things. For the other, all of the items were sold out and they cancelled the order entirely. Boo hoo! Log into your account and check your order status.
so you don’t know until they send the shipping notification? well I ordered another pair of half chaps, hope I get at least one of them 
Can someone explain to me the eskadron boot sizes? and are they sold out too? they have 1, 2 and 3…i have only seen pony and horse for them before. I need horse, but not huge… fairly fine boned TB.

I’m not positive, but you’d probably be safe ordering a 2, since it’s inbetween (I’m assuming you’d order mediums?).
Now off to place my order!
