Sales barns in NOVA and So. MD.

I am thinking about sending a horse out to be sold. I have never done this before. The horse is under 15K and I would love a fast sale.

I have checked a few places. A popular one in PA seems to be expensive and caters to higher dollar horses. Others I am just not that familiar with.

In perusing web sites for possibilites I have come across photos with riders who look like they are just hanging on. This would not work well with my horse. Other riders are better but I am just not familiar with them. Not sure where to start.

Any recommendations? What kind of questions should I ask?

Not sure who you’re referring to in PA, but my client Courtney Cooper has quite a successful sales business with horses selling in an average of two months. Her horses ranges from $5k - $100k and from just starting out to seasoned campaigners. A wide range of disciplines too. To my knowledge, Winding Down does not take consignments. She uses Kurt Martin and Sharon White to sell her horses IIRC.
