Do you have to pay sales tax on horses purchased in Europe? I’m specifically talking about Spain. Can you be reimbursed for this ?
You don’t have to pay the VAT if the horse will be exported before the end of the year. Most sellers will just take it off if you tell them the horse will be exported, some of them will ask to see the export papers.
