Sally is my 14 ( give or take ) year old bloodhound. She is on enalipril and laser for heart issues related to heartworm. She was on preventative but tested positive anyway. She recently completed a course of doxycycline and prednisone for the heartworm. She’s been doing great. She also has arthritis and bad hips but again has been doing fine on Cosequin, Lubrisyn and salmon oil. She stopped eating Monday. Took her to the vet yesterday. Blood work was all within normal parameters. Her temperature is normal. Vet thought maybe not eating was due to pain from arthritis so we gave librela shot plus a anti inflammatory injection. Still not eating and has vomited 3 times. Vet sent home some omeprazole and cerenia. I read that vomiting can be a side effect of librela so I’m hoping that’s it. She’s alert, doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort. I can’t figure why she’d stop eating.

Jingling for Sally Mae!
Thank you all for the jingles. Sally seems to be better. She hasn’t thrown up again and is eating. I fixed her some boiled chicken and rice and she ate it right up.
I would get a different bag of food, if not a different brand altogether. That’s how my Boxer acted when I’m pretty sure her food was contaminated in the Diamond/TotW recall.
