Samshield Iconpack Backpack

Does anyone have one? Pros/cons? I suspect my husband has gotten me one for Christmas and I haven’t been able to find much info or reviews, other than a video about it that doesn’t really tell me all that much. I have wanted a ringside pack for a while, but thought the Noble Outfitters was kind of ugly, but functional and didn’t love the Grand Prix version. The Samshield is kind of expensive and honestly I’d never spend that on myself, but my husband doesn’t mind spending money on gear if it is good quality and does the job well.

It’s a really, really nice bag. So much so that our BO wouldn’t use it at shows until someone shamed her ringside bag this year and she brought it out hahaha. Four of us got together to get her one for Christmas last year and she didn’t know what to do with it because she said it was too nice to use at a show, even though that’s what it’s for :lol::lol:.

Seriously nice bag with lots of spots for everything and anything.

Thank you! It looks beautiful, but I haven’t gotten to see one in person. It sounds as though if my hunch is right that I will love it. I ride at a few different barns and always have my stuff crammed into various bags and am always worried that I forgot my spurs, or do I have a hairnet in this bag, etc. Having a good ringside bag should help alleviate some of that! I like that it’s also nice enough to use for travel as a carry on or even a laptop bag. I liked the functionality of the Noble Outfitters bags, but personally don’t love the way they look, so I’m crossing my fingers that this one is the best of both.

Yes, I really like it a lot! I’ve been using it a ton, and the mesh helmet holder and crop holders are probably my favorite parts! I ended up removing the silly cell phone holder that attaches to the straps because often the snap would come undone when I was putting on or taking off the pack. Other than that, it does have a space for everything and the dividers definitely come in handy! It still looks new too, despite the abuse I put it through.

Wow, that looks amazing and perfect for work and shows! I have a type of helmet for work that always goes in my carry on. Am I blind or did I not see what type of material it is? Also what color did you get?

The material looks like leather but is actually not. It’s waterproof, which is nice. I got the black because the brown was super hard to come by at the time. I get so many compliments on it, especially when I can reach into a compartment and pull out exactly what I was going for. I’ve found in the hotter weather that the mesh that holds the helmet provides good airflow to help it dry quickly too.

@NeedsAdvil Thanks for the specifics. And it takes a beating?

So far! I’ve been using it for about 6 months, at least a few times a week and it still looks brand new.

I have the brown one. I bought it to take as my carry on for horse shopping overseas. I use it for barn related things as my daily computer bag for work also–easy to wipe down, has stayed looking great so far. I’ve had it about 9 months or so.
