It’s looking likely that I’ll be moving to San Antonio at the end of the summer & I’d love lesson barn recommendations.
I don’t have my own horse so lesson horses or horses available to lease (with full care board) as part of a lesson program is a must. I’m 24, so I’d also love it if there were other young adults.
My main priority is the quality of the instruction. I’ve only been riding for a year & showing isn’t something I plan to do, but I don’t mind a show-oriented barn as long as not showing is an option.
I don’t know exactly what part of SA I’ll live in yet, but most likely within Loop 410 & north of US 90. If I’m heading far outside of the city I’d prefer to head NW towards Boerne.
Whitney and Frankie Owens run a great program at Oakwell Farms. They have a pretty active lesson program and local show group with assistant trainers, as well as attending AA shows. They would be my pick in San Antonio.
