Schembechler

I recently discovered that I am in the possession of a 2007 Schembechler Thoroughbred Mare by the name of Jazz Scat. She is a gorgeous mare, and I have the feeling (after stumbling over a few posts with Schembechler’s name in them) that he may be a good sire for some hunter/jumpers. I’m trying to find more information on this sire - I already have my hands on his pedigree. I’m more interested in what farm he stood at in Alabama and finding some conformation pictures of this stallion.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or leads?

Thanks in advance!
Summer.

You might have better luck asking on the sport-horse forum.

He stood at Longview Farm in Vandiver, Al - owned by Dennis Murphy. Seemed like a nice boy, a blood bay with some white, big bodied, could have had more “structural support” for my taste and I’m not into “bone” as a mark of soundness. I started and schooled a really nice gelding by him for a friend and client. He was very intelligent, kind and trainable, a handsome kid that went to the Carolinas as a hunter. His jumping was good, but years ago. Good luck with your mare.
