Schuylerville Stakes

Bit of :poop: show in the race last evening.

Complexion dumped Johnny V in the gate more than once, eventually hurting his arm in the gate. She was backed out and still on edge.

Whatintheliteral was a handful in the gate before the start. She came out of the gate, fell on her face, dumped the jockey and was apprehended by the outrider. Jena posted on Instagram after that she is fine and was walking around the shedrow. The front view of them coming out of the gate was scary. Not sure how the filly stayed on her feet.

Slang grew choppy gated in the race, and was pulled up by the rider at the half mile pole. Slang then got loose, ran to the chute entrance where she was apprehended and loaded into an ambulance. Her gate was pretty off right before pulling up. Hope Slang is OK. She was standing and being untacked by the vets on the track with no sense of urgency. Shes a pretty horse and kept her level head.

According to one report, WITLH stumbled so badly she stepped on her reins, pulled the bridle off, and ran around with it flopping near her feet. Would have loved to have seen how the outrider managed to catch her–those guys are amazing!

Whoa :grimacing: watching the head on in slowmo. I don’t know how she managed to stay up & not somersault.

Good news is it seems Slang is completely fine as well.

Thanks.

Ooof, you are correct, miracle she stayed up.

Poor filly, what an introduction to racing, even though the article above says she is OK.
