Scara Boa, as well as his damline, has sparked my interest in this stallion. Is he available frozen to NA breeders? Does anyone have any offspring by him of riding horse age? What is the temperament like? Any additional information would be appreciated.
I became interested in this stallion after seeing quite a few in Germany last fall…love what he is producing. I tried to find semen when I got back but all I found was a few doses in which one dose was like 13 straws or some crazy number like that plus I couldn’t find anyone else who had used his frozen so I was not willing to take the risk.
I saw him last year when we visited Ingo Pape’s stable. He was very nicely built with a good temperament. He also had many nice mares presented at the mare shows. I have a picture of him that I took on my site (scroll down):

I am not sure about his frozen but if you contact Ingo Pape I am sure he will return your email. Alternately you may even contact Hassler Dressage and see if they know anything as they work very closely with the Pape’s (that is where Harmony Sport Horses keep their horses in Germany).
Keep up posted what you find!!
I know someone who has one. From what I was told about him (the friends horse) temperament sounds like the typical S line. More sensitive/reactive than most people want to deal with. Not bad tempered, just a lot of go, needs guidance from a patient person. Nice horse built well.
At one point his semen was available by the dose through Hasslers. I saw him and many offspring in Germany. Well-built, noble horses. Didn’t hear any comments about temperament. He himself is very big, very beautiful. The only negative I could see was somewhat short,. upright pasterns behind. I do not know if this is passed on. Great bloodlines, IMO. I hear his youngstewrs are very rideable.
I know someone who had a nightmare getting the frozen to work and eventually decided to import the bloodline instead. He is lovely though.
I believe his frozen semen was 23 straws.
