This is the second time in less than a week that this has happened. I will click on a page, it loads, then the screen jumps to a random Chronicle article. It happened three times before I was able to write this post. Help! What’s going on?
Are you seeing long loading times today?
That happens to me when the board is slow. I click, nothing much happens, I click again. The page that was loading finally comes up, and immediately flips over to something else, because that second click was cached in some way and clicked a link as soon as the slow page loaded. If I’m just more patient, it doesn’t happen.
If that doesn’t sound like what you’re seeing, browser data might help the mods troubleshoot. Clearing your cache and cookies is always a good first step. Or second–have you tried closing and reopening the browser yet?

Happens to me once today, the page was loading so slow the bottom half was just light grey, then when it finally loaded it was an article featured on the right side, Athletes for Equity in Sports, I think?
Now when it loads slowly, for whatever reason, I just wait it out and then go from whatever shows up.
It doesn’t happen much and it started recently, don’t remember when, in the last day or so?
It’s happening again today and the page does not load slowly. I move the cursor to click a link on the new page and bam! It’s gone and an article shows up before I can even get the cursor to the link.
Sounds like that is a different problem than we had yesterday with slow loading.
Guess we had two issues then, one seems fixed, all is loading fine for me today.
Have not experienced any more of that wrong page showing up?

Have you closed the browser, or cleared cache and cookies?
