Screening in the barn

Has anyone screened in the barn? I have a ton of wasps and other stinging insects hanging out in the feed room. I was stung today… the bugs need to go. The barn is pretty open including the feed room so they just fly through the overhead. Or nest in the rafters.

Screening fine enough to keep out paper wasps and such will slow down air exchange and get really cruddy with fine dust and such, really fast.

I’m in the jungle of Alabama where yellow jackets are an August and September concern and paper wasps, red wasps, and hornet are an early spring to late Fall thing. Putting up fake hornet nests can serve as a partial deterrent, and paper wasps are territorial- learn where they favor nest building and buy many cans of aerosol foam pesticide to knock them down. I am live and let live about nests more than 10’ off the ground, that’s enough of a buffer they will leave you be, more or less.
