Scroll bar not loading

Just got a new computer (Dell, Windows 10) and I have noticed when I load Chronicle of the Horse thru Mozilla, that the scroll bar on the right frequently doesn’t load. Like, 50% of the time. I pick a forum to read, and the forum page loads, but there is no scroll bar. I reload the page, the scroll bar appears.

I would guess it’s not Mozilla, as I used that before (with earlier computer) and did not encounter that problem. But I am noticing it regularly since the computer switch now. And pretty much only on Chronicle of the Horse. Just FYI.

Mine has been doing that lately too, also only on COTH. Sometimes I have to reload twice before the scroll bar appears. I’m using Chrome on Windows and neither my computer nor browser are new.

Same. I have to refresh. It seems to be at random as well. I open 5 dif sub forums (all at once) and maybe 2/5 will not have the scroll bar. I use chrome. Not a new computer, not a new browser. First noticed the issue yesterday afternoon.

You’re not alone! I’m experiencing the same issue, as well as others (this issue has been reported in a couple of other threads). We’ve alerted the tech folk and they are hopefully working on a resolution!

This (no scroll bar) happens to me sometimes. I can still scroll using the up and down arrow keys instead of having to reload, but the roller on the mouse doesn’t work. Recent but not new laptop, using chrome.

On my mobile phone I frequently get the frozen page, and have found no work around but once I reload it is usually fine. (Until it freezes again a few pages later)

That and or the log in does not load, not on the bar. Delayed typing is REALLY annoying which is happening right now. New computer running windows 10, and Chrome. Very annoying. But has limited the time I hang out around here. So I can hopefully be more productive, lol.

Been happening for DAYS! And @Training Cupid the up down arrow does NOT allow me to scroll, tried that.
The only way to do it here is to bump hits on the thread by loading and reloading it until the scroll bar loads before the ads.

The front page not loading the scroll bar after 6 refreshes… worked on the 7th. It is getting worse. Thanks for alerting tech Mod1!

This afternoon the screen keeps freezing up all-the-time.

I’m with Bluey ^. Still a problem and I see it with Explorer and Edge (Windows 10). Also find that I sometimes have to keep clicking back and forth off a screen when I try to edit a draft post - won’t keep up with key stokes. Mom is snoozing following Christmas breakfast and COTH is pretty quiet but some pages don’t want to load. Maybe Santa will bring us some fixes!

I’m having this issue as well - I’m on a brand new Macbook Pro and Safari (been meaning to move over to Firefox, just hadn’t switched browsers yet). It’s getting more frequent. I reload and it works. It’s been going on for weeks now.

Not all pages, just sometimes. Reload and move on.

This is the only site I’ve had this non-load of the slider occur on.
