Maybe the most surprising part about the rich fellers debacle is that in the PNW people will still actively market themselves as his clients, friends, etc.

If I remember correctly, it wasn’t that people didn’t believe it happened, it’s that they treated Maggie like an adult participant in a consensual relationship instead of as a minor who was manipulated into sex with a nearly 60-year-old man who had a lot of control over her life.

I remember both. When the accusations first came out, I remember a lot of flat-out disbelief and people thinking she was lying or making it up. Then once the criminal investigation started, people started taking the angle that it could somehow be a consensual relationship.
Either way, I am glad to see the guilty plea end result.

Daily Mail is a trash reporting agency but I read them so often for entertainment.
This particular photo caption got me today: “She filed for divorce from her pervert husband earlier this year”

What was stunning to me was how many times she said no. Edited to add…I mean how many times she said no and he kept pressuring her.
