I’m on the hunt for a competitive 1.20/1.30 jumper in California. I’m located on the Central Coast but willing to look really anywhere in CA. I’m looking in the low to mid five figure price range. I’d really like to move up from the modified’s to the low juniors next year. If anyone knows of any barns or trainers in CA with jumpers for sale that would be super helpful!
Try Revolution Farm in San Juan Capistrano. I heard that they had some available. Love working with them.
You might try Julie Winkle at Maplewood Stables.
It’s a little farther north than you mentioned but Oz Inc in the Portland area has quite a few nice junior jumpers for sale right now. Shelley and Jeff are also very well connected and might be able to recommend other options in OR/CA.

BITSA beat me to it.
She often brings a heard of sale horses to shows, and she has a great home set up for you to try horses. She is in Reno, NV, but she does show all over CA & OR.
JW also judges and has given clinics nationwide. She has a good network and could find you something if you want her to act as your agent. Something I would jump on in a heartbeat.
Small question, don’t the Jr/AO Jumpers have to do the water next year? If so that’s a consideration when purchasing one aimed at that division. It’s not rocket science to teach in a good program if you have one or access to one you can school over, but if somebody tried and failed or horse spent time in a not so good program or is fried? Good luck trying to fix that.
Mark Watring may have something. I think for a winning low junior horse think more mid- than low five figures, especially in Cali. Good luck!
Jeni Brown at Shadowbrook Stables in Moorpark has a nice Low Jr. mare for sale
Portola Valley Training Center has several nice jumpers trainers, and Buddy Brown is out here too with nice horses. He is currently at Edgewood Farm in Nicasio. (northern Ca) message me if you would like contact info. Or you can use good old Google!
Try www.proequest.com great resource of what pros are selling. Tons of California trainers use their service.
I just remembered… Edgar Pagan has something cute in your price range!
you can also try bigeq.com and dreamhorse.com. Can you head out to the sunshine series in thermal going on now–might be some sales horses there too. Good luck!
I saw a few on Facebook the other day. I think the page was Hunter jumper event horses pony nor. California for sale free advertising… But you might check on Brenda’s tack warehouse to be sure.

Actually he has 2 but one is more ready to go at the 1.20-1.30. He could also double as a hunter derby horse.
Also my old jumper is for sale. I did the 1.40’s with her but since I sold her she has been jumping lower. Her price reflects that and she is a total steal if you ask me. Contact Cam and Becky Smith at Freelance Farms.
