I can relate! My gift, which is I think the perfect gift, is on a 2-week backorder. I went with it because I think it is a perfect gift. Well, at least my giftee can’t open it so far before Christmas! 
I never open my COTH gifts before Christmas (many others don’t also unless their husband thinks they received a suspicious package) so the timing may not be that terrible. 
MunchingonHay, yes! The socks are the right size and go with the top I have on today. The pad looks nice. Thank you!
I’ll be mailing my giftee’s gift once a key piece reaches me, hopefully this weekend.

My goodness, my elf has been busy! On Friday I received a nice big box of chocolates. Yum! Those were marked “perishable” so got opened right away. Yesterday another mystery box arrived. I’m holding out until at least December (tomorrow!). It’s doubtful I’ll last until Christmas. But then, just a few minutes ago, Santa’s Little Helper delivered another box. Give me strength to not perk!
