Secret Santa 2022!

That with the silk scarf on you would be perfect!! I knew he’d look good in blue! He looks smashing in light blue!! It was so hard to pass your gifts along because my horse would also look smashing in that browband… Seriously, silk scarves are my go-to in cold weather. If I get too warm they are easily removed and stuffed in a pocket. But silk scarves, for me, are a staple in cold weather riding. I usually ride in multiple layers because I’m cold when I get there, warmer when grooming, warmer when riding.

I totally get the safety issues. I spent the very frigid Christmas barnsiting at my barn. I trust the BOs and they trust me. We’re all friends and another horse who had laminitis effectively had her pasture cut to a fraction, with help from the owner and the BOs by installing electric tape cutting off most of her pasture. Could you do that with the spring grass? It is so easy to integrate temp electric fence into the existing electric fence. You could temp fence away from the roundbale and give him more limited hay nets. Even if they aren’t interested in doing the temp fence, you could do it yourself. It’s not hard as long as they tell you where to shut town the electricity for you to make the final attachments. Several horses needed this at my barn, it’s pretty easy.

PM sent!

Ho Ho Ho!!!

I was celebrating with the other eves tonight and noticed one was absent. Did anyone else not hear from their elf this year? I’ll reach out to the absent elf but Christmas Cheer is the rule around here. If you didn’t hear from your elf, let me know.

I will reach out to the elves who said they’d be de-grinching elves if necessary. De-grinchers, maybe we can all pitch in on de-grinching. Christmas Cheer is MANDATORY around here so we’re all open to second chances and/or community efforts. The elves will sleep very late tomorrow so the Chief elf will pursue this starting in the afternoon.

Happy New Years!

@equinelibrium Thank you so much for the gifts. The mail must have delivered it last night because it was on my porch this morning when I came home from NYE. I know who will love the candy canes! Jolie is my picky one who will love the stud muffins too! It smelled so good with the brush balms and saddle soap.
The stickers and hat are perfect colors.
Thank you! Happy New Years!

@LadyNeon01,

You have spoiled my pets. Both dogs look askance at their MilkBones and wait for the fancy Hill’s soft treats; the cat prefers your Wilderness treats to his usual Burst treats.

The horses, thankfully, eat the peppermints without complaint

Aww, I’m so happy the furry ones love the treats! My two cats love the Wilderness treats too. I erred on the side of caution with the treats because my big orange boy has some food issues. Thankfully, he’s been pretty good on a grain free diet.

Thank you to my COTH SS for the lovely shirt! I don’t know your COTH username so I won’t reveal your actual name, but thank you!

I’m so glad!!

I had the dang scarf on today and didn’t get it all together!!! Minus someone really needing a mane trim, you can see how nice everything looks

OHHHHHH, you need someone to take a picture and post it on Matchy Match on the dressage forum. You fit right in!

OHHHHHHHHHH that looks beautiful on Charlie! The major bling is perfect since his forelock covers so much! OMG, I hate to toot my horn but that looks FANTASTIC on him! The light blue highlights his tan and white coloring and his beautiful face!! There was a dark blue option at the time and I’m SOOOOO glad I didn’t get that. He’s beautiful and deserves bling to bring attention to that beautiful head.

Lucky you! You have a beautiful partner, there!

He really wears the aqua blue color really well and I LOVE his white schnoot, I love how it highlights that. His fluffy forelock does hide it too so it’s hard to get a head on shot! I’ll get someone to play photographer next time!! It was a little hectic this evening and by the time I realized I didn’t get one with the both of us, I was already cleaning tack!!
