Secret Santa 2022!

@MunchingonHay

All of your items have been procured! Package will be going out tomorrow :package:

It’s here! :tada:

I opened the Amazon box, but the gift is still in a very pretty dark green package (sort of a fancy bag), and I decided not to open it… yet. It’s on display next to my ornament tree.

Is it okay to wait until Christmas Eve to open it?

EEEEKKK! I am so excited!!

Thank you @FluffyElf

I got a box while I was away! I haven’t opened it yet and won’t unless I’m specifically told to. I like waiting until Christmas to open things!

Reliable elf sources indicate that the gifts for @LadyNeon01’s human family members are all wrapped and the parcel is safe to open before 12/25. :mrs_claus: :christmas_tree: :deer:

Thank you for the update and I wish my elf a relaxing time on their well-deserved cruise! I can be patient :santa:

I mailed my giftee’s box today, so somebody’s is on the way. I got there five minutes after the post office window had closed at the big post office in the city, so I used their automatic thing, and it nearly drove me batty. Enter this, enter that, enter something else, put the box on the exact back right corner touching the sides and wait while we scan dimensions, do this, etc. This included it insisting on looking up the exact (down to every detail) addressee’s info and then my own info, both of which took it multiple screens. It took over five minutes to satisfy that machine to accept the package. I really would rather talk to people than computers, even though I am an introvert.

Nothing against Christmas packages or COTH SS, just a minor “technology today” vent. I also dislike self checkout. I hope the gifts make your holiday special.

I had the same experience! Felt like I was doing a challenge on The Amazing Race or Survivor. I have used the self-service thingy many times, but it’s been updated and now asks for way too much info. It was very confusing and I might have uttered some very un-elf-like words.

Went home and immediately ate a spaghetti sundae in order to calm down.

Ho ho ho, @McGurk! I’m so happy it got there in one piece. The three jars are all homemade by your elf’s mom. :grin:

Ho Ho Ho!!

I worked at home this morning and Comet came to my home office window with an envelope in his mouth. It was raining out and he and the envelope were soggy. I let him in, toweled and hair-dried him off, and let him take a nap on the couch while I went to work in the rain. Told him to feel free to raid the fridge and bird food before he left. The stationery was so festive! Luckily, the elf used waterproof ink.

The letter says:

@Callista17
! Your elf hasn’t forgotten you. Your package will be on the way soon!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

@PaintParty,

The reindeer are saying your final package will be delivered Monday, however, they may not have allowed for the ones that are sleeping over at J-Lu’s.

Keep an eye out.

I am excited!

A package arrived for one blue_heron last night. Damn those reindeer are fast!!! I have not opened it yet, still clawing my way out of a work project and it does not feel like Christmas quite yet.

:rofl: :rofl: :rofl: There was just one! He was gone when I returned home but ate the leafy greens and broccoli in the fridge (leaving the stems) and cleaned out the small horse grain container that I have around and put out for the rabbits and night-dwellers because the squirrels and chipmonks ignore it. This years baby squirrels used to eat it but they seemed to develop a better squirrel pallet with age. No one missed the horse grain because the rabbits don’t come around these days and I was able to refill. It’s amazing that reindeer can unscrew lids with their hooves. Or maybe their mouths.
