The same goes for us Canadians who have a stack of parcels ready to go out! I’m not sure how long things will take until things get moving. Please have some patience, this elf has had a wrapped and ready to go package for weeks… sigh

Yep, I lost the meter. Threw it out the window. It has been so fun shopping for you. My elderly parents have needed care but you will NOT be grinched. I’ll keep you updated if the prime thing comes in late. Your gift will be accompanied by a long letter!

WHAT?!? At Christmas time? Where’s the sense of goodwill and cheer?
Perhaps it’s time to re-institute the Pony Express. COTH should be able to organize one, right?

Well, the good news part is that in a lot of communities the striking workers have pulled themselves together and answered the Santa letters by hand and hand delivered them all. I think they are doing foodbank deliveries as well.
They are striking for much needed better working conditions and pay… not because they want to ruin Christmas.
I think a Pony Express would be much appreciated and loved by many 
Though Moose are notoriously grouchy, not sure I’d want one marching down my road.

Oh, I’m confident that they have credible reasons for the strike. And I hope they achieve better working conditions and pay! 
So mooses are grouchy? That doesn’t sound appealing. I guess I should put a halt to my moose recruitment plans.

As a public school teacher (my day job, I only moonlight as Head Elf), I understand how hairy these things can get (strikes, and moose, as well). I hope a compromise can be reached asap that works for everyone! In the meantime, send your jingles north of the border for a swift resolution so COTH SS '24 can resume unabated!
And remember: The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!
