SECRET SANTA!!! - Let the thanks begin!!!

AppendixQH

The baking elves are glad to hear
Tug and Kane are filled with cheer
(With his name, of course he love peppermint).

We hope to also hit the spot
When you check on what you got

Happy Holidays!

For once, on time, I sent my gift
I hope it’ll cause my giftee’s spirits to lift
I don’t have an alter
My rhyme has a falter
Merrily through the packages she’ll sift!

Elfetta!!!
Thank you so very very much! Oh my goodness so many beautifully wrapped packages! I went to the mailbox this morning feeling oh so grumpy after night shift and I was so excited to see the packages :). I am going to try really really hard to save them until Christmas but I 'm not sure I will be able to!!!
Thank you so much you are the best Elf ever!!
Hazel

Snickelfritz Elf!!!

Thank you so much for the gifts! The horse agility book looks AMAZING! My horse is going to love it. I especially like the section where you teach your horse how to jump through a giant ring made from a pool noodle. I’m looking forward to trying that one out, along with the ones for ground work without halter and rope/longe line. that will be fun to work on over the winter.

And the chocolate with the mug was just what I needed for the office.

The bridle tag is super cute. Blue will look very nice, and will hopefully bode well for next season

Thanks again for the lovely gifts!

I am so glad you like the gifts! I am hoping the bridle charm was just enough bling for your boy to decide if the ladies like it, and of course what mare can resist a boy in blue!

Have a happy holiday season!

Your Elf

Hey EquitationNewbie!

I’m slow as a snail
Gotta get the package in the mail!
Too much going on
Doing it all alone!
But do not be sad…
The gifts are good, not bad!

It’s so fun reading all these posts! I can’t wait to see what my elf does!

I am so anxious to know if my Giftee enjoyed her gifts. I have sent her private messages, I have done messages on this thread, and no response! I had a few questions re her likes/dislikes, but no answers so I just winged it! I know the package was delivered …

My giftee took the wind out of my sails, by not responding. I needed some SS fun this year!

That’s how I feel, too. I hope everything is all right. I have noticed that my Giftee has not posted to COTH at all since mid-October. However, many of her last posts were ABOUT Secret Santa, so I expected her to be excited about her big box of gifts. But … nothing.

I do hope my Giftee is not sick or otherwise indisposed. I wish there was a way to ask if she received the box without appearing to be angling for a Thank You.

SCM1959

Last year I had the same issue. I heard nothing from my giftee.

Thanks so much to my anonymous SS! The gift is stunning and sure to get a ton of use

Chocomare, is there any way to follow up with the Giftees to find out if they received their Secret Santa Box, and did they like everything/hate everything/throw it all out?

SCM1959

you should have your giftee’s email address.

Sometimes people do not respond. My first giftee was like that. She was never one the boards, did not engage with my SS posts, nothing. My last two giftees where lots of fun and responded back and one guessed who I was by my hints. I have gained two friends from it as well, which is AWESOME!

My current secret santa as been pretty quite, she posted once on this thread, but I am not worried! People get busy. Everyone (most) just had Thanksgiving and most are gearing towards The Big Day (christmas) with their families.

I am sure they will contact you, may be they are waiting ??? till christmas?

He does have a special friend on the neighboring aisle

I’m off to Target later tonight to buy stuff for the hula-hoop exercise and the one with streamers and pool noodles.

Dear KSquared,

When your package arrives, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT eat the cookies. Those are for your pooch. They may look like they came out of Martha Stewart Living magazine, but they are not people cookies. lol. Those are for the dog. The cookies look like gingerbread, but it’s actually fried chicken flavor in spite of what the decorations might imply. Not that I tried them myself, but that’s what the label said, so I’m going to take them at their word.

I hope the dog is medium to large size. If it’s a toy sized dog, I am in trouble with Santa.

Before I mail out your package, I need to know what is the coldest it gets in the winter in your area. That and whether anybody in your family eats chocolate (I know the dogs don’t)

Signed,

Your Elf[/QUOTE]

Ah man I had a whole response typed out and my browser crashed!

Weather. Jan/Feb is usually the coldest months dipping down into the negatives. Usually its pretty mild. It does snow, but usually melts the next day, sticks around in the 30’s or 40’s It can and does snow at times into April or May.

I like dark chocolate and the rest of the Fam likes milk or white chocolate.

No eating the cookies, gotcha.

For my elf, though you don’t know who you are you didn’t get grinched, my plans got a bit pinched and I am hustling to get some things in place to bring a smile to your face.

I’m among those waiting for a stealth elf, but it’s too early to really get worried.

Elfetta
So I thought I was going to wait until Christmas to open my gifts. Well the puppies had other ideas!! Woke up this morning to shredded paper, shredded box, and half the dog cookies missing with crumbs on their dogbed!! So I, and all the canines with no will power, thank you VERY much for their yummy treats :).

To those of you who haven’t heard from your giftees, that happened to me last year. I was kind of bummed about it. Long after Christmas I got a PM from her. It turned out she had a family tragedy and only got to her gifts long after. And she said it was the best thing in a terrible time for her and her family. So don’t despair, you are probably giving someone great joy even though you don’t know it.

Dear Flashwhitelock

Another quick message - one package is going direct to you.
I forgot it was something I wanted to look for and I think I found something that will suit you fine!

Ho ho ho,

Your Elf
