Secretariat: 4 star movie EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!

Went and saw Secretariat last night, and was about teary eyed, just in awe of Big Red from start to finish.

A beautiful family movie from start to finish, take the toddlers, this is a clean movie.

Secretariat had owners, breeders, jockey’s trainers, he comes with a package, they were all in it together.

The most thrilling, exciting three year old campaign in the history of horse racing, and we got to share it with them in a sort of way, like only a movie can re-inact some semblance of what actually happened.

Our movie theater was just us old folks, and could hear people talking about their horses, and packing trips and rope horses etc. etc., old folks, cause I do live in about the horsiest county in California. Cowboy town. At the end of the movie, everybody stood up and clapped, we loved it.

God Bless Secretariat and all his connections.

Thankyou Disney for making a great movie.

Oops! It’s a 4 1/2 star movie!!!

I won’t even read a thread that is disrespectful of the movie right in the title, please don’t combine threads.

Secretariat deserves better than
a lousy description about his Disney movie on COTH
Guess there wasn’t any sex, drugs and violence
to entertain the easily bored.

I remember 1973 as a very turbulent time. Remember sitting in boot camp in 1973 and hoping that when I got out, I wouldn’t end up in Vietnam as some of my squad members and platoon members knew they were already headed to
Vietnam.

It is only fitting that the Secretariat movie give some token of acknowledgment to that turbulence in showing the endeavors of Penny Tweedy’s daughter to be involved in anti-war protest, and showing Mr. Tweedy’s belief that the anti-war protest was a communist plot. That’s just exactly how the division of public sentiment went.

Had you been alive and living life in 1973, then you would feel like the Secretariat movie did a great job of conveying the spirit of the time.
