Looks good! Love Disney horse movies. Always have.
I was so confused because I got it mixed up with Seabiscuit.
I have to wait until these movies come out on DVD because it’s just to embarrassing to be a 40 year old woman openly weeping in the theater.
Woohoo! So exciting to see that trailer, Mr.DL and I are somewhere in the Belmont (filmed at Keeneland!) scenes!
My facebook I started back in September for this movie just took a big jump in fans!
Chaila, I think you are right. Unless we went with a bunch of other horse women.
I will never forget being 13 years old and watching him win the Triple Crown.
He is one of the reasons I love horses and work with horses every day.
Oh YAY! thanks for posting. My inner 10 year old is hopping up and down in impatient anticipation.
Me too! Along with boyfriend, both older and youger kids, bff, bff’s hubby, and another good friend We made a big day of it and had a great time!
I still get chills down my spine and tears in my eyes when I watch a replay of Secretariat capturing the Triple Crown in that phenomenal Belmont race. So I can’t wait to see the movie!!! That horse was magnificent.
Diane Lane looks like a good casting choice for Penny. John Malkovich as Lucien Laurin, hmmm, not so much.

Can’t wait to get the dvd and hit pause a bunch of time trying to find us, lol.
WOW…I am crying already just from the trailer.
There was something soooo inexplicably magical about BIG RED. I watched his races prior to the derby and he was my favorite of all time. Still get cold chills watching him run with that gigantic stride and his powerful upward movement. WOWSA
Anyways, the cast will be fantastic I just hope they don’t try to overly embellish the tale. It doesn’t need any extra drama…it is great the way it was.
From looking at the trailer the only thing is the focus on how she believes he can do it all which is true but her love really was for Sham. She felt guilty because she wanted him to beat the big horse. She said her goal in life after the triple crown was to live her life telling everyone that Secretariat was the greatest race horse to ever set hoof on a track. She didn’t need to convince me.
I met her at Rolex and was astounded by her graciousness to talk with me about my hero horse.
I hope they do Ron Turcott justice also. Love the man.
Great now Im crying and I have to leave for work
Eee, a movie I’ll want to see! (And here’s hoping my own teeny-tiny Secretariat connection gets the faintest passing mention–their silks are blue and white because they’re W&L colors! We have a set, plus a huge portrait of Secretariat, in the school trophy case, along with one of his and one of Cicada’s win pictures.)
Now when do I get my Man o’ War movie?
