I am currently shopping for a hunter prospect and have run across a few Aloha foals in my price range. I was wondering if anyone had experience with his offspring and could offer insight on their temperament and ability. Thank you!
I had one. STUNNING mover. She was very pretty, a spitting image of Aloha. She was however very small. Unsure why, but at 3 years old was only 14.3/15hh and very small boned. Dam was a large warmblood.
Gorgeous conformation, stunning neck and truly the hack winner in any company. She was athletic for sure, forward thinker. She had some very stubborn moments, but also took well to training. She sold, and was then told she became difficult under saddle. Who knows why. My only hesitation to using the stallion again is size. However, I have also met several other wee warmbloods from other stallions so sometimes genetics can just toss in a curveball. He is still on my consideration list for rebreeding.
I had one, bought him as a yearling. He is a lovely lovely mover and was ammy-friendly. Easy to work with, super disposition. He was out of a decent sized TB mare and ended up at 16 or 16.1 hands. Very nice fellow, I’d have another like him any day
