Blunt honesty: I got had. (I am giving myself a thigh cramp kicking myself)
But, this is about Killian, not my stupidity. He is a 15.1-15.2 hand Appaloosa gelding, mostly a varnished white with a few small spots (I have much more detailed photos of him than are on the Photobucket site if anyone is interested). He is not registered, and is more of an English-type App, than a stock horse. Nothing really flashy (at least when I had him), but a notable trait is that he DID do what is called an Appaloosa Shuffle (he’s gaited).
Anyone can PM me for more details. Essentially, I had him out on a trial under contract. This woman came to our farm for an initial visit, Killian moved out for her after a little fuss, but then settled down nicely. I was impressed. She asked to have him for a 30-day trial, we went over the contract together. She hauled him home then (September 2009). Over the ensuing year, it had been a comedy of trying to get in touch with this woman. Sometimes I would, sometimes I wouldn’t. It went from her ignoring my calls, to her phone being disconnected, website down, and her skipping town. Without paying for Killian.
Now, I have gotten in touch with someone this person rode with after she took Killian, and one of their horses was repossessed by them in, in his words, “bad shape.” Now I’m REALLY concerned (not like I hadn’t been). If anyone knows where Killian is… I’m desperate to know he’s okay and to have him safely back home.
