Seeking Trailers USA Opinions

I need a new trailer and am considering Trailers USA. They don’t have dealers where I am so I can’t go see and touch them first. I’ve read all the reviews I can find and it seems like maybe the early years weren’t great but the recent models are better? If anyone has a recent model year (2016 or newer), would you mind giving me some honest opinions about the quality, durability, strength, etc? Now that you’ve had some time with it, would you buy it again?

Thanks in advance!

I have an old one (alum over steel, 2 H BP). Frankly I love it. I just had it repainted and plan to have the decals replaced soon - Trailers USA are here in Ocala. I’ll be glad to look around for you when I am out there probably next week.

I had a 2008- bought it used and recently sold it just because the configuration wasn’t what I needed. It retained its value extremely well. Never had issues with it as far as mechanics or the finished horse area- only routine maintenance. Very easy to tow and nice & bright. It was one of two brands I was considering for replacement trailer. I think it was Sport Horse Trailers International in Florida that I’d corresponded with since if I went with another Trailers USA it was going to be a long distance purchase.

Lorilu, thanks so much for the very kind offer, but that’s not necessary. I appreciate the feedback!

Thank you, CLB15!

The trailer I owned for a few years was a 2004 TrailersUSA Minuteman Sport. IMHO, it was an excellent, well made trailer. I bought it lightly used and sold it for almost $2K more than I paid for it not long ago. That particular trailer was aluminum on steel and I believe they are focusing on aluminum at this point. I had the opportunity to communicate with the company (they are in Ocala FL) and those interactions were good experiences. Hypothetically (because I no longer own horses), I’d not hesitate to buy the brand again, whether for a horse trailer or for a utility trailer.

Thanks, Jim_in_PA!

One of the things I like about TrailersUSA (and Cotner) is that they are US-based small businesses.
