Selling Mare with In-Utero Foal

Hi All,

Looking for some potential advice. I currently have a broodmare for sale, she is in foal and is offered as a package deal currently. I have had very little interest in the package deal and more interest in “mare-only” after weaning.

My question to you guys is, at what point during pregnancy would you stop offering the mare and in-utero foal for sale as a package deal? I am considering pulling her off the market and only offering the mare after foaling out but don’t want to completely shut out package deal offers only 4 months into gestation.

They have mares actually foal on the sales grounds every year in Kentucky because they are selling so close tp term. No reason to pull her off that I can see.

I don’t see any reason why you have to stop offering the package deal. Why not advertise her both ways (i.e. $x for mare or $y for 2-in-1 package)?
