Well, I’ve done a search on here, and there are some threads on Sensation saddles. I’ve heard lots of good things about them.
I can’t give any reviews yet, but I just ordered a G4 Sensation Jump for my mare who is so round and meaty shouldered, she goes best in treeless saddles. I’m going to be using it for foxhunting.
We ride in an Ansur Carlton for dressage, which is a nice saddle, but I may be replacing it with a Sensation Formal Dressage if I like the Jump well enough. 
I won’t be seeing mine for about 7 weeks, but when I get it, I’ll be sure to come on here and report how it is!
I have the Western style Sensation and really like it. Love how light weight it is. It fits on every horse I own. all are gaited. I ride any where from 2 to 4 hours and always very comfortable for me and the horse. The seat is secure and super soft.
Sensation Saddle
I’m waiting for the Sensation Hybrid I ordered. Should be delivered soon. I bought it for my wide backed, thick shouldered, Canadian gelding. He has a moderate wither. Tried my friend’s first and really liked it. He is really hard to fit, I’m hoping this saddle works for him.
I have a Sensation and totally love it-not for a high withered horse.
I have a Sensation Hybrid and love, love, love it. Before I saw it in person I was a little unsure as to wether or not it was a “real” saddle and not just a glorified bareback pad. It is very much a real saddle. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the materials and workmanship of this saddle. It is also surprisingly stable on my horse. I can mount from the ground with no slippage and it stays put on the horse even up or down steep inclines. I always rode in a western saddle and thought I would miss the security of the horn. As it turns out I actually feel MORE secure in the Sensation Hybrid than I ever did in my western saddle. The only thing I miss the horn for is to hang stuff off of it but I’ve worked that out so it’s not an issue.

This saddle has fit every horse I’ve tried it on so far. None have had extreme builds though. All have been normal to mutton withered and slightly A framed to flat backed.
I’m not a light weight so I did add 1/2" felt on top of the foam in my skito pad to distribute my weight better. I’m just a trail rider. I prefer a little more spirited ride than just plodding down the trail and will usually mix it up with some walking, some long trotting and canters. We will usally ride for 10 or 12 miles at time, covering the distance in between 3-4 hours at the most.

Get the upgraded seat - the G4 I think its called. It is more than worth it. Also see about getting the model with the longer leg flap.
Melissa made a special seat for me out of a Marino sheepskin that I sent to her. I love it!! So soft and comfy. I specified regular foam, not the memory foam that I hate.
Nickers is a wonderful company to deal with - excellent customer service, quick turnaround, and super high quality products. I have two Sensations - one for foxhunting, the other for trail riding - and absolutely love them both.

Melissa was my rep too…I was extremely lucky she is like 5 minutes from me so I got to demo with her at her house…we’ve been great friends ever since.

I demoed through Melissa too. She was great.
I’ve had a Sensation western for a whole year now. Prior to that I was riding in a Barefoot treeless and before that, an Abetta endurance. My trail pony is a Haflinger with no withers, a flat back, and up till he got a better quality hay, the size and shape of a barrel (either that, or a pregnant whale) He’s a perfect treeless candidate and we’ve had super rides as a result. Since going treeless, we’ve discovered that the pony does have a canter after all, and he can really move out like nobody’s business.
I picked a Sensation because while it was insanely expensive, it’s well worth it, and I like all the soft parts. My gelding hadn’t been really really happy with the Barefoot pommel inserts, and I wanted a saddle to be really happy with. I demo’ed, fell in love and got one of the in-stock saddles last January, and it’s been easy street all the way since then.
We go on fairly moderate rides. Around 3 or 4 hours, although we’ve been known to do 6 hours before. It’s a great saddle. I use a breastcollar and an endurance girth, and that stabilizes the saddle so well, I can mount up from the ground with no problems. I’m really glad it doesn’t have a horn because I can lie down over my pony’s neck, and we’ll zip under a tree branch while other people have to bend and lean and maybe even get off.

I actually had 2 Sensation saddles. My other one was a used G3 dressage that was about 3 years old that I picked up in September to mess around with. I just sold it because I got a mare I used to lease a few years ago back for keeps, and it sat right on her withers, and didn’t work well for her. I’ve sort of tried my western sport on her, but it seemed a little low on her withers too. And she’s not really that high-withered at all. I might try fiddling around with padding to see if it would fit her better, but it really belongs to my Haflinger who’s my main trail pony, so I’m getting her a saddle of her own and it’s not a Sensation (since I can’t afford it)
How did the Sensation Jump turnout for you?

I have a propane-tank of a Morgan and am looking into the “JUMP” saddle, too.
Did you get yours? How was it? Do you feel like you could Event (up to Beginner Novice) or Foxhunt in it?
I’d imagine they are sooo comfortable for the horse. I do lots of trail riding, too. But I’m really a H/J turned Eventer (who doesn’t compete all that often, and prefers Hunter Paces above all else
I ride in a beautiful, older Bates Caprilli Close Contact with the Extra Wide gullet (barely wide enough for the Chocolate Hippo mare I think it works for her, but I bet a treeless would really help.
I’m VERY SKEPTICAL of treeless saddles, though. I’d love your feedback, thanks!

My G4 Jump came in about 2 weeks ago and so far, I’m very pleased!
The saddle is VERY comfortable for mare and I, and I actually like the way the hard use leathers feel. I’ve been contemplating using the free swing option, but really feel the hard use will be better for the mare on the long rides.
I haven’t jumped in it yet…we’re just coming back into work from the winter (mostly) off, but I absolutely would be comfortable jumping in it, galloping in it…it was very secure and stable on my mare. More so than the Frank Baines I hunted in last year!
I use a special pad under it, which is a must with any treeless saddle. The pad creates the spinal clearance and aids in pressure distribution, especially with the Lexan inserts.
I also always use a breastplate. Mare’s conformation tends to require one.
So, I’ll be posting about it to my blog as soon as I get to using it more, and can wrangle someone into taking pictures of us.
We have a hunter pace on the schedule for May 15th. So that will be it’s first official “outing”.

Oh - I I got one in normal “close contact saddle color”, could one get away with showing in it? Like at a schooling show in a Hunter/Hunt Seat class?

People would have to look fairly close at the saddle to tell that it is a treeless saddle especially once you are mounted. If you got it in “normal” leather colors you could show in it with no problems. They have lots of leather choices for color and texture. I LOVE my Sensation Hybrid…it is the most comfortable saddle ever.
