What’s folks opinions/experiences on Serapin injected into the lower back? My horse has been NQR in his hind end. Flexed pretty normal, palped totally normal, has slightly abnormal conformation in SI/lower back region. Vet suspects lower back/SI to be the cause of the NQR and suggested Serapin injections into the back to start with, SI joint injection later on if we feel that he needs something more to keep him comfy. I had never heard of the drug prior to today and would love some personal experiences. How long do it’s effects last? How effective has it been for you? Etc
Meso used to be fairly common and included Sarapin. I never really thought it did a ton of good.
Shockwave, massage, chiro, all things I’ve had good outcomes with for back pain.
Also, Sarapin is only available compounded now, which can be a turn off to some people.
