Seresto collars--removable?

I had great luck with the Seresto collar on my one dachshund last year, but I stuck with the topical flea treatments for the other two because they do agility and other sports where they have to run naked. Does anyone know if you can remove the Seresto collar once applied and then put it back on? I don’t remember if I had to cut it off or if I was able to slide it back out with the dog it was on.

It worked great and is much more cost-effective so I’d love to use it on all three, just worried about having to remove it and put it back on for every trial they do.

You can remove them (they slide through “keepers” on the collar), so you could open and close it. Although I could see the plastic wearing out if you did it a lot. Unfortunately, they are supposed to be quite snug if they are going to work properly, so I don’t think sliding on and off the head would be an option.

Thanks! I do remember that they’re too snug to slide off the head, I was thinking more of whether they would go back through the keeper or not, so as long as I can get them off like that I think it would be okay. If it wears out that would be a pain, but it probably would still be cheaper buying two collars in 8 months for each dog than doing a topical the whole time.
