Serious whoops in BH article subtitle on Santa Anita's upcoming Winter/Spring Meeting

Caught this on BH this evening… someone didn’t proofread very well…

Article is titled Santa Anita Announces Sunshine Bonus for Upcoming Meet

The subtitle quoted here in the event the actual webpage is fixed…

Bonus meat to attract out-of-state horses throughout the meet.

Even if that is an appropriate use of the word ‘meat’ as implying solid or substantial content, not sure I would have chosen that particular word in an article on attempting to attract out-of-state horses throughout the meet which runs through June 20.

Oh my. That is a funny typing error.

As everyone knows, autocorrect is evil.

When autocorrect finally succumbs, the epitaph will read:

RIP autocorrect, rest in pieces. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I agree. autocorrect is evil but one would hope that when pushing out a webpage on a large industry oriented website that one would double check for evil autocorrections.

Noticed this morning it still hasn’t been fixed… someone must be napping. Even if the use of the word as it is spelled ‘fits’, poor taste.

Fixed now… the word they were looking for was “meant”

I think I like the idea of Bonus Meat better, A 4 pack of Omaha Steaks or a stallion running loose?

The Omaha Steak ads did some to my mind when I read about Bonus Meats…
