Shade ideas for stall

We’re in Florida where the temperatures are sky rocketing and my one horses stall faces the east and the morning sun roasts his window. He has no trees or building on that side of the barn to block the sun, he’s completely exposed from that window and that’s where he stands the entire morning. I’ve stood there and it literally cooks you. He doesn’t seem to be struggling with breathing or overheating, he doesn’t get sweaty on the on side of his neck that faces the window, but I feel bad because it’s just so hot in that spot. I’m trying to think of ways to help make it cooler for him, but all I can really think of is a tree planted outside his window. However, most shade trees take years to grow and I can’t think of any trees that can provide shade immediately. Is it cruel to leave him exposed like that. I know he’s not completely exposed, he has a fan and inside a stall, but he stands by that window all day and in the morning it’s so hot. I’ve also thought about closing the window, but it makes him anxious and he paces around his stall.

Could you put up a shade cloth?

Either hanging in strips so he can still look outside, or as like an awning?

If an awning, you would have to have something to connect it to. We have one for mini’s connected to a round pin on one side & t-posts on the other, so you maybe could connect above the window & then slope downwards to some t-posts or something?

Not sure if this is your own barn to make mods to or a boarding barn?

NO!
Remember, he is choosing to stand in that spot and not more inside his stall in the shaded area.

Turn him out. He’ll find shade if he wants it.

I got a Coolaroo at Lowe’s and put it up. I got the bigger roll and used roofing ties to put on the side of the barn.
