I cannot believe that no one has replied yet.
One funny thing that happened to me is when I was looking for a horse my trainer learned about a nice one that would suit me. The only problem is that I was showing in Rhode Island and the horse was in Minnesota. And other people were very interested in him (I later met 2 people (California and NC) who had reservations to fly there to try him). So we set off as soon as I finished my last class (did not even wait for the jog; I went straight from saddle to car to airport).
To get from R.I. to Stillwater, Minnesota we had to change planes in Chicago, and we were on a tight schedule. We ran from plane to plane. Did I mention that I was still dressed in my show clothes, 4 way stretch breeches, boots and all. Midway through our run, I was stopped by a fashionable looking lady who wanted to know where I got my clothes, because she wanted to look just like I did.
I told her to forget Lord and Taylor and go to her nearest tack shop. I looked back and saw her standing, looking confused. I realized that she would probably end up in a store that sold tacks (Walmart? )
PS: The horse was named Valor and he changed my life.

This made me laugh.

Hubby went to ponyclub on my heart horse. I bought Pepper when I was 15 yo as a rising 7yo and we went through ponyclub together. Now over 20 years later hubby was riding him but still a pure beginner and not cantering yet.

My OTTB was lame and I had to keep him near the float because if Pep was in sight he kept neighing, so I just hung out there with him as the last time we went he reacted badly to being there as it reminded him of racing. I was really happy that by lunch time he was chilled and bored.

Hubby came back from the lesson on flag poles and bending. He was really excited and said. “Pepper really knows how to slalom!”
