So I cleaned my horses sheath today with Excalibur Sheath Cleaner. Usually he’s perfect about it, we get it done no problem. Today midway through pandemonium erupted at the barn and he lost his crap (unrelated to the sheath cleaning proceedings). I had to stop and put him away, and wasn’t able to resume. I’m pretty certain I wasn’t able to successfully wash out all the sheath cleaner, and now he has some still up there. How worried should I be? Is this going to cause him issues?
I would get back in there and wash it out…
Is it best to get all the cleaning product out? Most certainly.
But I think that product is designed knowing that most humans are going to fail at removing it all, so unless Dobbin has a sensitivity he will probably be fine if a small amount of residue is left.

Not ideal, but definitely not the end of the world. It can make some horses itchy. Give it a good rinse in the next day or two.
